The Technician, Test is responsible for executing testing and supporting prototyping manufacturing testing efforts. They perform a variety of tests, including electrical, mechanical, and software tests, to evaluate product and equipment performance against requirements defined in test plans and/or a DVP&R. They will assist other engineers and technicians to set up tests to meet project deadlines, execute tests, process data, and report key results. They will also setup and maintain the lab test equipment when necessary. This position is a hands-on and on-the-job learning position at Excellerate Appleton Development Lab.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience

Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience

  • Experience working with AC and DC systems
  • Proficiency in using testing equipment and tools, understanding of technical procedures, and ability to interpret technical documentation (e.g., schematics, blueprints). 
  • Experience in calibration and maintenance of electrical equipment
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information both verbally and in writing. 
  • Experience working on electrical terminations, control panels and able to operate electrical and mechanical tooling
  • Understand basic electrical hazards.

Travel: 5-10%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. Works a sufficient schedule to meet the expectations of the role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Builds test fixtures or setups of both power and communication tests.
  • Sets up, troubleshoots, and maintains lab testing equipment and setups.
  • Prioritizes and completes various testing.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineers, production staff, and other stakeholders.  
  • Executes testing setup using various control platforms. Executes test scripts and manages data generated.
  • Processes data, documents, and reports key results in a clear and concise manner.
  • Supports other  component level testing and manufacturing end-of-line testing when necessary.
  • Assemble mechanical and electrical components and provide feedback on drawings and work instructions to various teams including design engineering.
  • Identify and diagnose malfunctions and defects and perform necessary repairs or adjustments to both products and test equipment.
  • Responsible to work safely and direction from licensed electricians on the team.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
