Coordinate and provide nutritional care and education for patients with various disease states and medical conditions. Monitor, assess and optimize nutrition status based on the patient’s current medical condition and/or nutrition adequacy.
Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:
- One year prior experience at an acute care facility
- Function as a productive member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently on assigned tasks
- Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently
- Organized with the ability to multi-task, handle interruptions and work effectively in a fast-paced, professional environment
- Supervise and mentor Nutrition Assistants to facilitate quality service
- Demonstrate clinical competence
- Proficiency in technology usage, including Microsoft Office
- Excellent command of oral and written English
- Demonstrated knowledge of food service operations
- Maintain licensure and credentialing through continuing education and training
Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:
- Experience with Cerner a plus
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and completion of an Accredited Dietetics program
License/Certification:
