The Loan Officer Associate - Express (LOA) will focus on supporting a VP/SVP of Business Development and serve as a liaison between multiple departments at Genesis Capital. To assist their dedicated VP/SVP of Business Development, the Loan Officer Associate - Express will be responsible for listening to discovery calls, assisting with deal structuring, populating appropriate worksheets, collecting deliverables, transitioning loans into the active loan pipeline and assisting with managing loans in the active pipeline. In addition, the Loan Officer Associate - Express will interface with multiple departments to gather comprehensive experience and knowledge on how each department functions and supports one another. The role will provide the Loan Officer Associate - Express with the appropriate experience and exposure to Genesis Capital’s platform and position them for success in their future role as a BDO or RA.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Work directly with a dedicated VP/SVP of Business Development to assist with listening to new prospect discovery calls, loan/deal analysis, structuring, packaging, pricing, and borrower approval.
  • Assist with data/document collection for the VP/SVP of Business Development loans and borrower approval as needed.
  • Function as a liaison between Sales and primarily Operations. The LOA will interface with other Genesis departments such as Evaluations, Credit, Processing, Construction and Borrower Underwriting on an applicable and as needed basis.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating pipeline status, funding dates, etc. to support pipeline management on a regular basis.
  • Assist with customer service items including loan extensions, late payment outreach, and other portfolio maintenance activities.
  • Compile and update marketing lists for campaigns or events.
  • Assist with marketing initiatives that drive conversion, repeat business, or wallet share growth.
  • Partner with BDOs on outbound efforts tied to campaigns, re-engagement efforts, and upsell opportunities.
  • LOA will be required to complete their NMLS licensing along with any additional required licenses deemed by Genesis compliance prior to becoming a BDO.

  • Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • Background in real estate, real estate finance, mortgage, private lending, or business purpose lending.
  • Experience in sales, sales support, transaction coordination, or loan officer assistance.
  • Proficiency in CRM and pipeline management systems; Salesforce, Excel or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain an NMLS license required.

Compensation Range: $65,000 - $105,000/annual
