WHO WE ARE

Elliott Davis pairs forward-thinking tax, assurance and consulting services with industry-leading workplace culture. Our nine offices — located in the fastest growing cities in the US — are built on a foundation of inclusivity, collaboration, and collective growth. We work daily to provide exceptional service to our people, customers, and our communities. Audit and assurance services are provided by Elliott Davis, LLC (doing business in NC and D.C. as Elliott Davis, PLLC), a licensed CPA firm.

This role is a specialized advisory position focused on supporting our healthcare clients through the lifecycle of government grant funding. The Grant Compliance Senior Consultant will act as a strategic consultant, helping clients build the infrastructure and operational workplans required to manage state and federal grants effectively. You will be the primary "translator" between complex government stipulations and the client’s day-to-day operations, ensuring they are positioned for seamless reporting and audit readiness.

Responsibilities:
•Serve as the subject matter expert for healthcare clients, interpreting grant terms and Uniform Guidance(2 CFR 200) to provide actionable guidance.
•Develop and maintain a master inventory of grant obligations, ensuring all trackers are accurate and clients are proactively alerted to upcoming reporting requirements.
•Lead the "front-end" process by creating a comprehensive abstract for every new grant award, defining the scope, evidence requirements, and reporting cadence.
•Design reporting templates and proactive workplans for state agency sign-off, reducing ambiguity and risk for the client.
•Partner with client finance and operations teams to translate grant stipulations into clear evidence requirements, ensuring the client effectively "owns" their compliance success.
•Support clients through pre-award, post-award, and closeout phases, including reviewing expenditures for allowability.
•Support internal process improvements and knowledge sharing within the CAAS practice.
•Other duties within the scope of the practice.

Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
•3–5 years of hands-on experience in grant compliance operations, with a proven track record of managing government funds. Experience in multi-state or non-profit (NFP) environments is highly preferred.
•A strong background in Accounting or Finance is required. While a CPA is not mandatory, a related credential or a deep understanding of financial reporting frameworks is essential.
•A unique ability to look at a new grant award and immediately identify how it needs to be tracked, managed, and reported.
•Strong data management skills are required. High proficiency with Smartsheet or similar project management systems is preferred to support client-facing tracking.
