About the Role:

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in wound, ostomy, and continence care to join our dynamic team. This role utilizes the nursing process to deliver comprehensive care and consultation to patients with fecal and urinary diversions, wounds, drains, pressure injuries, and incontinence. You’ll serve a diverse population across all age groups — from neonates to geriatrics — in a collaborative environment that values education, innovation, and excellence in patient outcomes.

Your role will encompass acute care, rehabilitation, patient education, and counseling. You will play an integral part in improving our professional practice environment by aligning with NGHS’s nursing strategic direction and supporting VOICE and nursing quality teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process

  • Provide specialized consultation for wound, ostomy, and continence needs

  • Educate patients and families on treatment and ongoing care

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

  • Participate in strategic nursing initiatives and professional development programs

  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance professional engagement and quality efforts

  • Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals and population-specific care standards

Minimum Qualifications

  • Licensure/Certification: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license

  • Education: Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution

  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of progressive RN experience in a healthcare setting

  • Other Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications

  • WOCN (Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing) certification

  • Previous experience in wound care, rehabilitation, or surgical units
