Precision Machining Technology Lab Specialist is responsible for supporting the program faculty in organization, maintenance, and support of the skills and knowledge provided in the program

Job Description:

In a part-time capacity, the Lab Specialist will:

  • Support the department staff in developing/updating support documentation such as maintenance binders, MSDS binders, training documentation, records for accreditation and perform various duties with shop organization and new course content.
  • Utilize all equipment (mills, lathes, and grinders) and tools common in a machine shop environment in the execution of these duties.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum five (5) years of experience in a machine shop environment as a machinist. 

  • Must be able to operate mills, lathes, and surface grinders.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Project planning experience

  • Familiarity with MS Word and Excel

Hourly rate:

$17.73/HR.

Schedule:

Flexibility to work 19 hours per week between 8am - 10:30pm Monday - Friday.
