POSITION SPECIFICS

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Penn State University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in the area of Durable 3D Printed Construction Materials.

Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and talented postdoctoral scholar to contribute to ongoing research focused on novel and durable construction materials that can be automatically deposited. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to advance fundamental knowledge and contribute to real-world solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct experimental research

  • Analyze and interpret data; publish findings in high-impact journals

  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to proposal writing

  • Present work at conferences and stakeholder meetings

Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field

  • Strong background in 3D printing and cement chemistry

  • Demonstrated research excellence through publications and presentations

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with advanced material characterization techniques
