JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The College of Agricultural Sciences is seeking applicants for part-time job of greenhouse research assistant.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct field data collection in grower orchard research trials focused on fruitlet thinning and fruit color improvement.
- Monitor assigned trial sites regularly to assess treatment progress and record observations at key developmental stages.
- Collect standardized field data, including fruit set, fruitlet drop, color development, and related physiological indicators.
- Compile, organize, and enter collected data into databases or spreadsheets with accuracy and consistency.
- Perform preliminary data checks and assist with basic data summaries and analysis as needed to support research objectives.
Minimum Qualification:
- 5+ years of experience in managing tree fruit field research trials
Requirements:
- Demonstrated interest in sustainability and tree-fruit production.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to grower field sites.
- Willingness to learn and work in a dynamic outdoor environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Flexible availability

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES
Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
