Jefferson Health is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Urgent Care Physician to join our dynamic clinical team at Jefferson Health in Philadelphia. This role is ideal for a motivated clinician interested in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, academic medical setting.

Job Description

  • Provide timely, efficient, and evidence-based care for walk-in patients with acute medical concerns
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams, including advanced practice providers and nursing staff
  • Perform minor procedures (e.g., suturing, abscess drainage, splinting)
  • Utilize Jefferson’s integrated electronic medical record system (EPIC) for documentation
  • Participate in quality improvement and clinical education initiatives

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
  • Current or eligible Pennsylvania medical license
  • Active DEA license
  • Prior urgent care or emergency/acute care experience preferred
  • Commitment to excellence in patient care and teamwork in a high-volume setting
