A rehab hospitalist is a physician who specializes in the medical care of patients undergoing rehabilitation in an inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) or hospital setting. Their role is critical in ensuring that patients with complex medical needs can safely and effectively participate in rehabilitation therapies aimed at restoring function and independence.
