Job Description:

Role Summary

Team Leader – Business Excellence (BE) drives end-to-end performance improvement across aligned businesses by leading improvement initiatives, recommending process redesign solutions, and embedding quality governance. The role partners closely with Operations, and cross-functional leaders to collect and analyze data, execute transformation roadmaps, and deliver measurable business impact through structured CI methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive improvement projects across the program / LOB; redesign processes aligned to improvement plans.
  • Work closely with Operations to collect data, assess current-state performance, and prioritize root-cause actions.
  • Provide innovative leadership to improve quality and performance; ensure systematic problem solving and RCA.
  • Monitor and audit deployed processes for effectiveness and efficiency; track sustainment CPIs/KPIs.
  • Design and implement reports to identify patterns/trends in quality issues; provide quantifiable data for all quality judgments.
  • Build executive-ready dashboards and scorecards that show baselines, targets, deltas.
  • Communicate overall process-improvement performance to all relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Be accountable for generating tangible business impact (e.g., cost, quality, speed, customer experience).
  • Lead Quality meetings; call calibrations, expand knowledge (seminars, current quality issues); host and support quality audits.
  • Coach and develop analysts through structured feedback.
  • Create compelling executive presentations that tell the performance story using clear visuals and narrative.

Required Qualifications & Competencies

  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, adaptability, interpersonal skills, business process knowledge, and attention to detail.
  • Highly-focused, detail-oriented, client-centric; able to set/meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and in highly collaborative settings; thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to effectively present information to internal/external stakeholders; mentor/coach teams; take initiative with a CI mindset; foster customer service and professionalism.

Technical Skills

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook and MS Office suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms)
  • Excel (Advanced): PivotTables, V & H/XLOOKUPs, formulas, conditional formatting, data validation, charting, slicers; comfort with building KPI scorecards and project trackers.
  • PowerPoint (Intermediary): Smart charts/tables, animation for process flows, reusable templates, slide hygiene; ability to convert analyses into compelling narratives for leadership.
  • Optional: Familiarity with Power BI/Tableau for visualization.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field).
  • 2–3 years in a team-leading capacity (or equivalent progression).
  • Experience quality audits and working with call recording systems like Verint, Nice.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher: Basics of Operational Quality (BOQ)

Working Practices

  • Use structured problem solving and RCA for solutions and process improvement.
  • Ensure process documentation (SOPs, quality plans, control plans) is current; perform periodic effectiveness audits.
  • Network internally/externally to exchange learnings and good practices.

Hourly pay: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour depending on experience.
