Join Novartis as Lead Technician, Maintenance and Reliability, where you'll ensure critical systems operate smoothly and comply with regulations. You will oversee key equipment, perform preventative and corrective maintenance, coordinate with teams, and uphold safety standards. Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure reliable, efficient operation of all facility systems and equipment, supporting projects and compliance with regulatory and corporate standards
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and repair complex utility systems including WFI, RODI, Clean Steam, Autoclaves, Glassware Washers, production vessels, HVAC, controlled environments, compressed gases, plant steam/condensate, and wastewater treatment with minimal supervision
  • Support 24x7 site-based operations to maintain continuous reliability and respond to critical issues promptly
  • Interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications to plan and execute accurate maintenance and repairs
  • Develop, revise, and maintain operational and maintenance procedures to ensure compliance and operational excellence
  • Provide technical data and recommendations for securing spare parts and maintaining inventory accuracy
  • Deliver responsive customer support and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Metrology, Quality Assurance, and Validation teams to resolve issues quickly
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing process equipment within cleanroom environments to uphold cGMP standards
  • Complete accurate documentation for all maintenance activities in compliance with cGMP requirements
  • Mentor and train junior technicians, fostering a culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement

Essential Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with at least 7 years of maintenance and utility systems experience
  • Licensure in one or more areas: Electrician, Refrigeration/Air Conditioning, Plumbing, or Waste Water Treatment
  • Proven ability to operate and maintain mechanical systems in a cGMP or other regulated environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with experience working in collaborative team settings
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, Building Management Systems, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Physical capability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs safely

Novartis Compensation and Benefit Summary:

The salary for this position is expected to range between $43.08 and $80.00 per hour. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards. US-based eligible employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and a variety of other benefits. In addition, employees are eligible for a generous time off package including vacation, personal days, holidays and other leaves.

Salary Range

$89,600.00 - $166,400.00
