GENERAL PARTNER GROUP

The General Partner Group is responsible for the operational, accounting, tax, and reporting aspects of each of the general partner entities.  These entities invest across all of the firm’s business units giving the team the unique opportunity to gain exposure throughout the company.  Members of the team also regularly collaborate with several internal departments, including fund accounting, tax, legal, HR, corporate, and IT, as well as third-party service providers such as the firm’s tax advisors. 

This role would assist in the treasury and accounting functions, as well as tax and fair market value reporting for various GP entities invested across the firm.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the preparation of:

  • Capital calls, cash distributions and the associated reports to GP investors

  • Quarterly and annual financial reporting, including supporting documentation for capital accounts, trial balances and other financial reconciliations

  • Assist with the treasury function, including preparation of daily and monthly cash reconciliations and reporting

  • Enter cash, book and tax activity into Investran, the third party portfolio management and accounting software

  • Assist in the creation of reports for GP investors including fair market value, tax basis activity, and partnership investment reports

  • Work with all levels from associates to Partners on projects to enhance the performance of the team, department, and firm as a whole

  • Opportunities for additional responsibilities where performance allows

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills; ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects with high attention to detail

  • Creative problem solving ability and sound judgment; ability to use own initiative and take responsibility for decisions and propose solutions

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with capacity to interact with all levels

  • Enjoys working in a service environment and understands the demands of a high paced, high quality firm

  • Capability of handling highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion

  • Works well independently and capitalizes on opportunities to learn and grow

  • Advanced MS Office, particularly Excel
