Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Plant Supervisor, the Loader Operator will contribute to the success of supplying quality raw material feed to the Mill for production of finished product.  

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Transfer feed piles to the Mill as needed for continuous production, keeping the materials pushed up and stockpile area in an organized manner. Duties also include performing work area inspections and mobile equipment inspections prior to operation, record keeping, oil, grease and clean mobile equipment used in performing duties and performing any other task as assigned by the Supervisor.

Skills and Attributes Requirements

• Must be able to operate a front end loader.  One year of front end loader experience is preferred.

• Must have a valid driver's license.

• Must be able to communicate both orally and in written form.

• Must be able to climb and walk up steep grades.

• Must be able to work in hot and cold weather.

• Must be able to wear required safety equipment.

• Must be able to work all shifts.

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.

• Must be able to lift 100 lbs. with assistance.

Education/Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.

Environment

• While performing the duties of this job; the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise, outside weather in all conditions and materials used in the process.

• Frequent walking, standing, and sitting with exposure to all seasonal climatic conditions.

• Occasionally lifting, carrying, and/or pulling objects up to 50 lbs.

• Approximately 100% operating heavy equipment in outdoor environments.
