The Charter & Specialty Services Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting in the managing all aspects of Rolling V’s Non-School Transportation and Charter Operations based at the South Fallsburg Terminal. This position oversees transportation contracts including ARC, Sullivan County Pre-K, Move Sullivan Transit, Paratransit services, and the Charter Division (School Bus, Motor Coach, and specialty vehicles).
The role involves dispatching, driver and vehicle scheduling, vehicle preparation, payroll, billing, administrative reporting, passenger management, and customer service for both contract-based and charter transportation services. This position requires cooperation with Terminal Managers, Shop Managers, and contract personnel while participating in company-wide training programs and manager meetings.
The Charter & Specialty Services Assistant Manager will work with the Manager to hire and discipline as needed and is expected to drive and/or monitor routes during staffing shortages.
Salaried position considered 10 hours daily, 5 days a week, 12 months a year.
Primarily 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM weekdays, with additional hours as needed for operational issues, charter demands, emergencies, or weather events.
Availability to drive routes, monitor vehicles, or assist with dispatch in short-staffed situations is required.
Starting annual salary: $60,406
