Position Summary
The Corporate Event Specialist supports the planning and execution of corporate events that enhance brand visibility and client engagement. From DMA-owned events to industry conferences, you will help manage and execute on-brand in-person, hybrid, and virtual event experiences. The Corporate Event Specialist is responsible for assisting with all aspects of planning and event organization, and evaluating ROI for both on-site and off-site events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support strategic event execution including sponsored and hosted events aligned with company goals.
- Support the coordination of event logistics including venues, vendors, and materials.
- Help ensure compliance with event standards and company policies.
- Compile and process event-related data and documentation.
- Contribute to creative development by brainstorming innovative ideas to enhance event performance and attendee engagement.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to leverage event promotion.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and vendors.
- Work on multiple events simultaneously, resolve minor issues proactively, and coordinate solutions.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, documentation, supply ordering, and managing the online employee company store.
- Participate in team-building and collaborative activities.
- Travel as needed to support live events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in event coordination or support
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PPT, Excel, Outlook) required
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organization, project management, and attention to detail
- Experience with Cvent Software preferred; Cvent certification is a plus
- Ability to work independently with little supervision and work collaboratively as a team member
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position does not qualify for employment-based sponsorship.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work Schedule: Regular, 40 hours/week
- Travel: Less than 20%
