Job Summary

The Senior Vice President. Interoperability is the leader of the Interoperability business. The principal mandate is to own the lead a cross-functional organization to deliver for our clients and partner with them and the wider market community to define and execute on a roadmap for market leadership and business growth.

This role is externally focused, requiring the incumbent to be the leading voice of the customer and the market internally, and the leading evangelist for Health Catalyst's vision and products externally. This role has primary accountability for the P&L, customer success, and responsible business growth of the Interoperability product line.

Who you are:

1.Business Ownership

  • Own accountability for the P&L and overall business performance of the product line, including delivery for our clients, setting and delivering to bookings, revenue, and margin goals
  • Define and track key business and product metrics (KPIs) to measure success and drive accountability
  • Present strategy, plans, and business performance to the executive leadership team and the board
  • Ensure stewardship of financial resources across customer engagements

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead, hold accountable, and inspire a dedicated cross-functional team of product managers, engineers, SMEs, sales, marketing, and services personnel
  • Provide functional leadership for execution, strategy, business model, and offering consistency for the interoperability business unit
  • Foster a culture of delivery built on customer-centricity, innovation, and accountability within the organization
  • Ensure tight alignment and clear communication across all functions to drive toward the common vision

Operational Excellence

  • Develop consistent, repeatable processes including project management, onboarding, value achievement, implementation, quality assurance, and ongoing support
  • Optimize scalable service model with efficient, configurable, and automated solutions to maximize speed to value
  • Build a sustainable, customer-focused organization with clear roles, continuous training and development, and defined career paths
  • Lead transformational change through collaborative partnership and proven methodologies

2.Market Mastery & Vision

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the interoperability market landscape, including opportunity identification, customer needs, industry trends, competitive environment
  • Define and articulate a compelling, long-term vision and strategy for the Interoperability product line that establishes a differentiated market position
  • Be the primary evangelist for this vision, both internally to guide teams and externally to lead customers and prospects

Go-to-Market (GTM) Leadership

  • Own the end-to-end GTM strategy, including market segmentation, pricing, packaging, promotion, and channel strategy in partnership with Marketing and other teams
  • Define and own the product line's market positioning, clearly articulating our competitive differentiation, value proposition, and ideal customer profile
  • Partner closely with Growth/Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure flawless execution of the GTM plan
  • Personally engage with key customers and prospects to build relationships, validate strategy, close strategic deals, and ensure client success and retention

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Customer Success: Customer NPS, Outcomes Delivered, Promises made and kept, Customer Retention (Gross & Net)
  • Market Leadership: Market Share, Share of Voice
  • Business Growth and Retention: Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), Bookings, Gross Margin
  • Team Health: Employee Engagement & Retention within the Product Line

What you bring to the role:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, and/or Healthcare required
  • Master's Degree preferred (MBA or MHA focused)
  • Quality Improvement Certification preferred (Six Sigma, Lean, Adaptive Design)

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years in healthcare operations, process improvement, or related fields
  • Demonstrated experience in delivery, strategic planning, program development, finance, and marketing
  • Proven ability to work effectively with hospitals, practices, and large health systems
  • Experience in healthcare IT, health information exchange, and interoperability
  • Track record of P&L ownership and achieving business growth targets

  • Adhere to and comply with the organizations Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Safeguard information system assets by identifying and reporting potential and actual security events to the organizations Security and Compliance Officers.
