Position Summary
The Research Analyst supports DMA’s Sales Research team by conducting in-depth research and analysis on companies, markets, and prospects to drive business development initiatives. This role focuses on gathering qualitative and quantitative data, preparing detailed reports, and ensuring CRM data integrity. The Research Analyst collaborates with sales, marketing, and service teams to provide actionable insights that enhance client engagement and strategic decision-making.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive research using internet resources, business databases, and company websites to compile detailed reports on prospects and clients.
Analyze market trends and identify potential business opportunities for targeted campaigns and events.
Prepare research packets for client meetings, DMA events, and special projects; assist with post-event data management and reporting.
Interpret and prepare reports from various database resources; ensure accuracy and relevance of information.
Maintain CRM database integrity by entering, reviewing, and updating company details, contact information, and research findings.
Troubleshoot and correct email addresses and contact details for marketing campaigns and outreach initiatives.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support lead generation and campaign execution.
Research special issues and provide insights for strategic planning and business development initiatives.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Education and Qualifications
High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
1+ years of experience in research, data analysis, or business development support.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); strong Excel skills preferred.
Experience with CRM systems and business research databases.
Excellent internet research skills and ability to synthesize complex information.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position does not qualify for employment-based sponsorship.
Work Enviornment & Physical Requirements
Work Schedule: Regular, 40 hours/week
