The Maintenance Technician is a member of the Engineering Team and responsible for providing general maintenance support for the station under the direction of the Chief Engineer.

• Provide maintenance at a 1940’s facility to keep all systems running smoothly and safely.
• Assist in maintaining look of the station inside and outside.
• Experience painting, repairing sheetrock, installing wall mount TV’s, lite plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Engineering and construction of specialty projects and set updates.
• Running video and network cables within broadcast facility.
• Terminating Cat5e, Shielded Cat6 and video cables.
• Installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining remote cameras on buildings and tower sites.
• Assist IT dept in installing and maintaining IT Equipment and infrastructure.
• Review and maintain system design drawings
• Problem solving/troubleshooting to reduce equipment downtime and maximize system efficiency
• Assist in maintaining network connectivity and assisting IT personnel as needed.
• Interface with various users, technical services, technicians and other Engineers to implement, install and debug these systems
• Responsible for successful completion of new initiatives and operational projects
• Perform other job-related duties as requested by management

Qualifications, Requirements & Skills:

• Highschool diploma or equivalent required
• Previous job-related experience preferred
• Experience with building maintenance and upkeep preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with Windows Operating Systems.
• Detail oriented with ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate with non-technical staff to resolve technical matters
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and climbing ladders required
