KRQE-TV News 13, is looking for a creative and detail-oriented News Producer to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. This role is central to shaping daily newscasts across all platforms — crafting compelling stories, balancing hard news with features, and ensuring smooth, engaging broadcasts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce daily newscasts for broadcast across television, digital, and social platforms.

• Write and order news stories, teases, and other broadcast elements.

• Approve scripts and guide newsroom content decisions.

• Time live news programs and ensure smooth transitions.

• Edit video and prepare packages for air.

• Write, edit, and post stories to the station website and other eMedia platforms.

• Interact with viewers and audiences through social media engagement.

• Collaborate with anchors, reporters, and production staff to deliver impactful storytelling.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
   

Requirements & Skills:

• Journalism degree, Communications, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and work experience).

• Minimum of two years of experience in news operations.

• Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Strong editorial judgment with the ability to balance breaking news and features.

• Proficiency in newsroom systems, editing software, and standard office equipment.

• Ability to meet tight deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.

• Flexibility to work any shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
