Summary:
A ForMotion Lab Technician performs independent fabrication, adjustment, and repair of prosthetic and orthotic devices. Applies knowledge of tools, materials, and biomechanical principles to ensure functionality and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricates a variety of prosthetic and orthotic devices with minimal supervision.
Performs functional testing for alignment, fit, and biomechanical effectiveness.
Provides routine equipment/tool maintenance.
Assists in modifying devices per clinician feedback.
Documents material usage and work time accurately.
Contributes to lab cleanliness, safety, and process improvement.

Work Environment:
Works in a professional office and laboratory setting. Regular use of standard office equipment and O&P lab tools (e.g., grinders, ovens, routers, hand/power tools). Physical demands include lifting up to 50+ lbs, dexterous hand use, standing, bending, and visual acuity (close, distance, color, depth perception).
Qualifications:
High School diploma; vocational/technical training preferred.
2–5 years of relevant experience.
Experience in fabrication or repair using hand/power tools and jigs.
Must be available during clinic operating hours and able to uphold policies with professionalism and fairness.
