IT Manager, Merchandising Solutions Delivery
Locations: Dallas, TX, or Akron, OH (Hybrid)
POSITION SUMMARY:
This Manager role requires a highly self-motivated professional with the drive, resilience, and aspiration to excel in a dynamic, transformational environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise and prior experience as a strategic leader delivering complex large-scale system implementations. Success in this performance-driven role demands initiative, persistence, and a strong sense of ownership. The Manager will be responsible for transformation initiatives for Merchandising and Inventory systems and processes. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and lead a high-performing diverse technical team and deliver performance feedback, coaching and mentoring.
- Encourage teamwork at all levels and cross-functionally.
- Maintain and develop staff by orienting, and training employees; develop personal growth opportunities.
- Grow and maintain relationships with business leaders and customers at all levels in the organization.
- Maintain quality of service by establishing and enforcing team standards.
- Actively manage relationships with all related vendors.
- Serve as technical point of escalation in one or more of managed technologies.
- Maintain organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing technologies.
- Complete projects by coordinating resources and timelines with various departments.
- Manage support activities to ensure that service level agreements are met or exceeded.
- Ensure that the health and efficiency of Signet’s technical assets are maintained and continually improved.
- Identify, evaluate, and collaborate with stakeholders regarding opportunities for improvement and provide constructive suggestions for change.
- Identify and alert management of problems that will impact progress on projects and other activities.
- Recommend information technology strategies for business growth, system performance, security, and other system enhancements by maximizing functionality of existing technologies and providing recommendations for upgrades as needed.
- Proactively research ways to improve efficiency, thus increasing productivity and ease of use for internal customers.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Required: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
Years of Job-Related Experience Required:
- 8+ years of experience in related field.
- 6 - 10 years of leadership/management experience with technical system transformational focus
- Retail industry knowledge required. (Ex. merchandising, inventory management, replenishment, forecasting)
- Preferred background in Oracle Retail applications; Experience with other retail enterprise software strongly considered.
Technical/Other Skills Required:
- Oracle database, PL/SQL, Unix scripting
- Listening, verbal and written communications skills with the ability to translate information into understandable terms to a variety of audiences.
- Responsive and alert to new learning opportunities, growth, and development of technical, interpersonal and business skills; able to recognize and address areas needing improvement.
