This role is onsite only and must be performed at our Akron, OH location; remote work is not permitted.

This position is responsible for managing, coordinating and delegating the daily activities of 2 Leads and 16 team members overseeing and managing the receiving, prepping, invoicing, shipping, tracking, customer service, inventory control and reporting of all merchandise (finished goods, customer repairs, ecommerce, and refurbish repair streams) coming into and going out of the SMA facility. Working with both the internal SMA Production team and the external streams stakeholders.

Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Plan and control all merchandise/product that is received, shipped and moves though the facility according to the SOPs for the appropriate work streams. Manage the billing process of all completed/repaired product and ensure all work orders are invoiced accordingly in the appropriate system.

  • 2 Identify areas for process/systemic improvements in the Fulfilment Support area.  Work with external teams (Merchant, Distribution, eComm, IT, Planning, etc.) on issues, improvements and resolution. Communicate status inquiries and updates for SMA internally and externally across all stream’s stake holders.

  • Responsible for resolving independently or with assistance, issues that impede the departmental goals. Ensure production standards are achieved such that we can meet or exceed daily priorities and deadlines, and service level agreements (SLA’S).

  • The on-going cross training for personnel on all job functions within the department. Set long and short-term goals for the department that align with overall company goals and strategies, manage and measure progress and adjust where necessary to ensure goals are achieved. The training and development of all department personnel. 

  • Continue to develop as part of the leadership team and participate in required courses as well as elective coursework that may improve their management and leadership skills.

  • Performs additional duties and projects as assigned.

  • Consistent regular scheduled attendance is considered an essential function of this job.

Position Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or similar equivalent experience preferred in Supply Chain

Acceptable Job-Related Experience:

  • Possess knowledge of the manufacturing process supply to end product.

  • Strong proficiency in personal computers with the ability to learn software systems quickly.

  • Good verbal, written communication skills with strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to establish positive working relationships and work independently and with little supervision.

Years of Job-Related Experience: 2+ years

Technical/Other Skills: 

  • Experience in a leadership/management/team lead position.  

  • Experience in quality control for retail, wholesale, manufacturing, or production environment preferred.
