Position Overview:
The Facilities Department supports the Institute’s mission by maintaining equipment, buildings, and systems. Under the general direction of the Facilities Manager, the HVAC and Maintenance Technician performs routine building maintenance tasks. Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g., carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, etc.)

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of three years of facility maintenance experience, including hands-on work with HVAC and electrical systems and a basic understanding of plumbing and carpentry. Experience in private or public educational facilities is preferred. HVAC certification is preferred but not required.

Hours, Classification, and Status:
This is a regular, full-time, benefits-eligible, non-exempt position.
The regular hours of this position are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm. Hours may vary due to the needs of the College or department.
Pay rate: $32.00 - $35.57 an hour. The hourly rate of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.

Physical and Mental Requirements
Ability to maintain good concentration level while dealing with interruptions; attention to details with emphasis on accuracy; capable of giving, receiving, and analyzing information, formulating work plans, and articulating goals and action plans.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, push, pull, stoop, twist, stretch, lift to 50 pounds from floor to waist level without assistance, climb ladders up to 25 feet with assistance and up to 10 feet unassisted, and be able to work on feet for prolonged periods of time. Ability to access and work on building roofs, and the ability to drive locally. Ability to see within normal parameters. Ability to hear within normal parameters.
