Purpose of Job:

The S&OP Manager serves as a Process Lead for Interstate Batteries Sales & Operations (S&OP) process. This role will spearhead many improvement efforts as the company continues to mature in S&OP. This role will have the opportunity to drive decisions at every level of the organization, including with our Executive team, to achieve long-range plan growth targets.

Job Components:

  • Facilitate the monthly S&OP process, working closely with the functional leads to establish and maintain cadence, produce content, documents and track actions to completion, and monitor attendance in S&OP meetings.

  • Work closely with cross-functional partners including Supply Chain, Finance, Product and Marketing, Sales, IT, and Operations to identify and execute on improvement opportunities to increase maturity of S&OP process.

  • Establish and lead S&OP Steering Committee to align improvement efforts with company strategy and direction from leadership.

  • Serve as a critical input to AOP (Annual Operating Plan) and LRP (Long Range Plan) development by leveraging information produced through S&OP process, partner with Finance on these activities.

  • Participate in project teams as identified based on company priorities, including but not limited to Supplier contract negotiations, New Business deal teams.

  • Produce a 24-month rolling consensus forecast by leveraging inputs such as: Demand Plan, opportunities/risks, product lifecycles, market trends, etc.

  • Conduct end-to-end scenario planning that encompasses supplier through distributor/customer capacity, cost, and price elements.

  • Automate reporting and enhance system to support S&OP process.

  • Develop executive summaries along with other KPI dashboards to leverage during S&OP meetings.

  • Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics. Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance or equivalent a plus.

  • 5+ years of experience in S&OP, corporate development, consulting, or supply chain.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and comfortable presenting to executive leadership and external partners.

  • Ability to align S&OP processes with organizational objectives.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Experience in data visualization / automation tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc).

  • Knowledgeable in lean principles/methodologies a plus.

  • Microsoft Office suite particularly comfortable with Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines under minimal guidance.

  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and unforeseen challenges.

Scope Data:

  • Collaborate with multiple cross-functional partners, Supply Chain, Finance, Product and Marketing, Sales, IT, and Operations implementation teams.

  • Engage with the Leadership Team to provide recommendations & supporting information related to SAP IBP configuration, upgrades, and enhancements.

  • Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time.
