What You Do
Will support the establishment and ramp-up of manufacturing at a large, high-volume, cutting-edge automotive manufacturing operation.
As a part of the above, and on an ongoing basis will also:
- Establish strong team member relations, at all levels and provide support for people development, coaching, and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusion
- Work closely with advisors from Mazda and Toyota
- Make necessary decisions and provide direction to Financial Reporting Specialists including support for all other areas
- Lead all efforts related to mid-term business plan, annual budget, and quarterly forecast
- Maintain accurate fixed-asset accounting records including new editions, impairments and dispositions
- Lead accounts payable and accounts receivable functions ensuring timely payments and receipts of revenues
- Lead monthly cash forecasting activities
- Ensure maximum incentive utilization efforts (tracking and reporting)
- Manage daily banking and annual insurance requirements
- Responsible for reporting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results to all levels of internal and external management, including officers and external Board of Director members
- Review and approve all journal entries monthly to ensure accuracy of financial reporting
- Support all SOX activities for accounting and finance monthly close
- Support annual financial statement audit conducted by external auditing firm
- Produce and update weekly leader report for A&F OMDS Board
- Set goals and targets for each Specialist
- Manage and support people development
- Maintain financial reporting systems
- Support initiatives to benchmark and refine financial reporting systems
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the department
- Be available to work outside of normal work schedule, including but not limited to weekends, holidays, shutdowns, and travel as needed (domestically and internationally)
What You Bring
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products
- 2 years’ supervisory experience in an equivalent role or internal demonstrated experience
- Demonstration of past leadership in a cross-functional environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High school diploma or GED
What Will Set You Apart
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA, CPA, or CMA)
- Automotive manufacturing experience
- 5+ years’ supervisory experience in an equivalent role or internal demonstrated experience
- Project Management Experience
- Working knowledge of Statutory Accounting Principles Business, Planning and Consolidation (SAP BPC), or other Major Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) System
- Experience preparing and delivering presentations to management
