What You Do
What You Do
Manage actions for quality improvement and stabilization through sampling audits, receiving inspection, Floor Management Systems, team member involvement and defined problem resolution methodologies.
As a part of the above, and on an ongoing basis will also:
- Establish strong team member relations, at all levels and provide support for people development, coaching, and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusion
- Work closely with advisors from Mazda and Toyota
- Collaborate across the organization including regular presentations to the executive staff to ensure clarity in direction and appropriate voice of the organization is understood
- Develop and ensure implementation of Quality Standards and Procedures
- Develop and manage KPI’s for department and section processes
- Engage with internal partners through daily meetings to ensure a high level of service; respond quickly to any concerns and support the development of countermeasures to solve problems
- Manage model change quality operational plans
- Ensure budgetary requirements are established; collaborate with purchasing and Accounting & Finance teams for purchases and vendor management
- Manage change points for supplier, design and quality engineering
- Manage supplier part quality concerns through problem-solving, containment, and sorting
- Ensure customer satisfaction for completed body and vehicle quality through sampling audits
- Ensure quality operations readiness
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the department
- Be available to work outside of normal work schedule, including but not limited to weekends, holidays, shutdowns, and travel as needed (domestically and internationally)
What You Bring
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years' supervisory experience in an equivalent role or internal demonstrated experience
- Experience using Floor Management Systems to visualize KPIs and performance
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products
