Previous welding experience is required.
True temp-to-perm opportunity at 90 days!
Starting Pay Rate: $25-27 per hour
Schedule: 1st shift (5a-3p)
Key Responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints: Fabricators use technical drawings to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Material selection: Choosing the appropriate materials based on the project's needs.
- Cutting and shaping: Utilizing tools like saws, drills, and grinders to modify materials.
- Welding and assembly: Joining materials using welding techniques like MIG, TIG, or stick welding.
- Quality control: Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintenance and repair: Keeping tools and equipment in good working order.
- Collaboration: Working with other professionals like engineers and designers to ensure project success.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical skills: Proficiency in using fabrication tools and equipment, including welding machines and cutting torches.
- Blueprint reading: Understanding technical drawings and specifications.
- Welding expertise: Knowledge of various welding techniques and codes.
- Problem-solving: Addressing design challenges and finding solutions during fabrication.
- Attention to detail: Ensuring precise measurements and quality craftsmanship.
- Physical stamina: Ability to perform repetitive tasks and handle heavy materials.
- Communication skills: Effectively collaborating with team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 18 years old
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Good reading and math skills
- Able to accurately read a tape measure
- Able to pass a welding-practical test as part of interview process
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to stand, walk and bend for duration of shift
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 100lbs
