Sizemore, Inc. is looking for a Welder Fabricator in Edgefield, SC!

Previous welding experience is required.

True temp-to-perm opportunity at 90 days!

Starting Pay Rate: $25-27 per hour

Schedule: 1st shift (5a-3p)

Key Responsibilities:

• Reading and interpreting blueprints: Fabricators use technical drawings to understand project requirements and specifications. 
• Material selection: Choosing the appropriate materials based on the project's needs. 
• Cutting and shaping: Utilizing tools like saws, drills, and grinders to modify materials. 
• Welding and assembly: Joining materials using welding techniques like MIG, TIG, or stick welding. 
• Quality control: Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. 
• Maintenance and repair: Keeping tools and equipment in good working order. 
• Collaboration: Working with other professionals like engineers and designers to ensure project success. 

Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical skills: Proficiency in using fabrication tools and equipment, including welding machines and cutting torches.
• Blueprint reading: Understanding technical drawings and specifications.
• Welding expertise: Knowledge of various welding techniques and codes.
• Problem-solving: Addressing design challenges and finding solutions during fabrication.
• Attention to detail: Ensuring precise measurements and quality craftsmanship.
• Physical stamina: Ability to perform repetitive tasks and handle heavy materials.
• Communication skills: Effectively collaborating with team members.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 18 years old
• High school graduate or GED equivalent
• Good reading and math skills
• Able to accurately read a tape measure
• Able to pass a welding-practical test as part of interview process
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to stand, walk and bend for duration of shift
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 100lbs
• Manufacturing/Production Environment
