AXIS Capital is recruiting for an Underwriting Intern position available within our Dublin Underwriting team. This is a great opportunity to get involved in an internationally focused underwriting team, while at the same time gaining valuable professional experience.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide administrative support to Underwriters

  • Provide support in processing policy endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and other policy related transactions

  • Develop strong product knowledge affecting various lines of business and insurance industry

  • Participate in a structured training programme with interns from other departments where you’ll get to understand other parts of the business

  • Complete professional training courses including but not limited to; Understanding AI, Power BI, Cyber Security

  • Access to study support for professional qualifications

  • Diversity, Equality and Inclusion workshops

  • Attend Global Townhalls and Earning Release calls

  • Liaise with other areas of the business to address enquiries, resolve issues, and ensure efficient workflow within the team

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within service delivery and underwriting operations

  • Provide regular reporting to the Underwriting team

  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

  • Contribute to a culture of knowledge-sharing and innovation within the team.

  • Developing great personal and business skills, with support from mentors and highly experienced business leaders.
