Retail Assistant Manager  The Outpost - Four Seasons Vail 

About the role: 

This role is responsible for assisting the Director of Spa & Retail with the day-to-day operations of the Four Seasons retail store. The Retail Assistant Manager will manage the Retail Attendants including staffing, standards training, guest service delivery, retail promotions and events, problem resolution, payroll, and maintaining supplies and equipment. This role will be responsible for keeping all store areas well maintained and the guest experience at the expected level.  

What you will do: 

  • Assist the Director of Spa & Retail in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Retail Store and constantly striving to improve the guest experience. 

  • Assist in training, coaching, mentoring and leadership of Retail employees and convey clear instructions and guidance to staff and establish working relationships that attain a high level of effective employee morale. 

  • Curate guest experience. Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Help customers select products that suit their preferences. 

  • Actively contribute to achieving sales targets. Upsell and cross-sell products while maintaining a high standard of service. Train staff in product knowledge, sales goals, and merchandising. 

  • Responsible for communication and coordination with our third party team and consultants.

  • Create creative merchandising displays. Ensure the store is always clean, organized, and visually appealing. 

  • Responsible for stock receiving and inventory control. Ensure that stock is stored correctly and that products are rotated. 

  • Accurately process sales transactions, handle cash and card payments, and issue receipts. Maintain banks and nightly cash drops and closeout reports. 

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the product range and brand lifestyle culture. Provide detailed information about the products to customers, answering any questions regarding products. 

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, ensuring they leave the store satisfied and likely to return. 

  • The ability to participate in regular staff meetings to keep employees informed of resort policies and changes as well as ways to increase sales and service. 

  • Uphold the values and standards of the Four Seasons brand in every interaction with customers. Ensure that all communication, appearance, and actions reflect the luxury and elegance of the brand. 

  • The ability to keep the Director of Spa & Retail informed about the department, all employees' performance, and guests' concerns and comments and assist with other duties as needed. 

 
What you bring: 

  • Minimum 2+ years in guest/customer service role, luxury retail experience preferred. 

  • Demonstrates knowledge and passion for ski culture, luxury retail clothing and customer service. 

  • Elevated Leadership skills and cross-cultural sensitivity, and customer service orientation     

  • Guest centricity and understanding the importance of guest’s preferences.   

  • Requires the ability to operate computer equipment and knowledge of Microsoft applications Knowledge of Yellowdog retail software preferred. 

  • Strong guest service experience and the ability to work well and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Ability to stand for 8 hours and lift up to 50lbs. 

  • Fluency in English is required for this location and this job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the in the United States.

    Schedule & Hours: 

    • This is a full-time position.  

    • A successful candidate will have a flexible schedule, and the ability to work morning, afternoon and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays
