Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled day-shift Deburring Technician to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for removing burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from machined components to ensure they meet strict quality and safety standards. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity and performance of our precision-engineered products.

The schedule for day shift is 6:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday - Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect machined parts for burrs, sharp edges, and surface defects
  • Perform manual and mechanical deburring using tools such as hand files, rotary tools, and abrasive wheels
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
  • Ensure parts meet dimensional and surface finish specifications
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Adhere to safety protocols and quality control procedures
  • Collaborate with machinists, quality inspectors, and engineers to resolve issues
  • Document work performed and report any non-conformances

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in deburring or precision finishing (preferred)
  • Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
  • Commitment to quality and continuous improvement

Compensation & Job Classification:

  • This is a non-exempt position and will be eligible for all overtime.
  • Salary Range: $53,000 - $58,000 inclusive of overtime pay, paid at an hourly rate.
  • Minimum of ten (10) hours of over-time available weekly. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
