Logan Health is looking for a Reimbursement Analyst to join our dynamic team!

Schedule: Day Shift – 8 Hours | Full-Time – 40 Hours

Compensation:

$28.00- $40.00 (dependent on year-for-year relevant experience)

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll support reimbursement and financial reporting activities for Logan Health. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to collect and analyze data that supports cost reporting, month-end processes, and reimbursement-related financial analysis.

  • Assist with financial reporting and analytical reviews for assigned Reimbursement functions and system hospitals.

  • Support month-end net patient revenue (NPR) calculations for assigned facilities, helping ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Prepare preliminary workpapers related to contractual allowances, charity care reserves, and bad debt estimates.

  • Assist with gathering and organizing documentation for interim and annual Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party cost reports for assigned hospitals.

  • Perform basic analyses of completed cost reports following established procedures and departmental guidelines.

  • Research reimbursement questions under the guidance of senior staff and prepare summary notes or documentation of findings.

  • Assist in maintaining departmental Reimbursement policies, procedures, and documentation libraries to support consistency and compliance.

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives related to month-end close, cost reporting, and reimbursement operational reporting.

  • Communicate with internal departments to collect financial, statistical, and operational data needed for reimbursement analysis and reporting.

  • Prepare reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts under supervision, ensuring appropriate documentation and accuracy.

  • Assist with IRS Form 990 data collection and support preparation of related reporting tasks.

  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with professionalism.

What we are looking for

  • Prior healthcare financial or reimbursement experience preferred

  • Familiarity with net revenue concepts and financial analysis

  • Interest in healthcare reimbursement and cost reporting processes

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • HFMA certification is a plus!

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of one (1) of the following:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field and 1+ year(s) of experience in financial analysis, accounting, audit, or tax

    • OR

    • 3+ years of experience in healthcare reimbursement

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel

  • Excellent organizational skills; detail-oriented; self-starter with strong critical thinking and prioritization abilities

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy

Preferred Qualifications

  • General knowledge of reimbursement principles, including prospective payment systems and cost-based reimbursement methodologies

  • Understanding of revenue cycle processes and their impact on reimbursement

  • Experience working with hospital reimbursement or cost reporting

  • Experience with Meditech

  • Experience with HFS Cost Reporting software, CostFlex decision support system, Syntellis Axiom, or other financial systems

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) of the following required:

    • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or related field required and one (1) year experience in financial analysis, accounting, audit or tax.

    • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in healthcare reimbursement.
