At Logan Health, we believe exceptional care begins with compassionate people. We are seeking a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist with a passion for working with medically complex infants and children to join our collaborative pediatric care team.
In this role, you will provide developmentally appropriate speech and feeding therapy to pediatric patients from birth through age 18 in an acute care environment including the NICU and PICU. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a highly skilled interdisciplinary team dedicated to supporting children and families through some of their most critical moments.
The ideal candidate has experience in acute pediatric care, particularly in feeding, swallowing, lactation support, and complex medical diagnoses. Experience with Pediatric Modified Barium Swallow Studies is beneficial.
This role requires a clinician who values collaboration, compassionate family education, and coordinated discharge planning to ensure successful outcomes for patients across the region.
What You’ll Do
As a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist, you will:
Develop, implement, and revise individualized, goal-directed therapy plans based on comprehensive patient evaluations.
Perform detailed assessments addressing each patient’s physical, functional, emotional, social, and environmental needs.
Provide feeding and swallowing evaluations and treatment, including care for medically complex pediatric patients.
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other specialists to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
Deliver parent and caregiver education, ensuring culturally sensitive communication and support.
Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with payer guidelines and Montana practice standards.
Communicate changes in patient condition to the appropriate care team members in a timely manner.
Maintain professional standards of care while protecting patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
Participate in department and community initiatives that enhance pediatric rehabilitation services.
Meet departmental productivity standards and maintain therapy equipment according to departmental protocols.
Required Qualifications
One of the following:
Current Montana Speech-Language Pathology License, or
Graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathologist program with the ability to obtain a Montana SLP license within 30 days of hire
HS AED CPR or BLS HCP certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software systems
Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) years of experience in a pediatric specialty setting
Experience working in NICU, PICU, or acute pediatric care
Experience with Pediatric Modified Barium Swallow Studies
Specialized knowledge in feeding, swallowing, lactation support, and complex pediatric diagnoses

Shift:
Day Shift - Variable Hours (United States of America)Schedule:
Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
All PRN's are put into the weekend rotation and Holiday rotations. PRN also assists with vacation coverage.
PRN positions (also referred to as Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations, making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program. Additionally, they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours, offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs. Pay rates and scheduling practices may vary by department.
