About the Opportunity
The USC’s Career Center is seeking an experienced Career Advisor for our Career Engagement team. This role’s primary responsibilities include advising and program development. The incumbent will advise diverse undergraduate and graduate students and recent graduates. This is a unique opportunity to support, educate, and engage talented students and alumni worldwide. The USC Career Center represents over 140 academic majors across campus with a wide range of career interests and goals.
The ideal candidate will have experience advising students and recent graduates, event planning, developing original career content, and leading student engagement and programming for a Career Engagement team. The incumbent will demonstrate professionalism and strong written and verbal communication skills while advising students and recent graduates on the following career-related topics:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Please note: This position requires working some evenings and weekends and additional duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Master’s Degree in Student Affairs, Human Resources, Education, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
Field of Expertise: Related education and experience in counseling, career services, and advisement
Experience & Skills:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Field of Expertise: Related education and experience in counseling, career services, and advisement
Experience: One year of experience in counseling, career services, and/or advising
Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
The hourly rate range for this position is $30.62 - 34.88. When determining an offer, the University of Southern California considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate’s experience, education, training, key skills, internal peer alignment, applicable laws, contractual requirements, grant funding, and market conditions.
