40A Brief Overview

To initiate, plan, manage, and execute assigned development, fundraising and program activities of the Stormont-Vail Foundation. Assists Foundation President in all areas of fund raising and related activities, carrying out the strategic planning process, working with trustees, and building and maintaining positive relationships between the Foundation and internal and external constituencies.

Essential Job Duties

Works with the Foundation President to achieve effective collaboration of Foundation staff and SVH management to ensure attainment of organizational goals and objectives. Provide regional leadership for the Stormont Vail Foundation in the Flint Hills.
Must excel in interactions with others and in public engagements.
Must have extensive knowledge of grant processes and event planning. Identifies and solicits major and planned gifts to meet the Foundation's fundraising goals, annually and long-term.
Works with the Foundation's Special Events Committee of the Board and Flint Hills Advisory Committee to meet fundraising objectives.
Assists with advocacy, public relations, education and fundraising with all constituents within the Foundation's budgeted expenses.
Complies with all policies, standards, mandatory training and requirements of Stormont Vail Health
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree Required
3 years Demonstrated significant fundraising success with experience working with committees, board members, and volunteers, and strong research, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Required
Demonstrated track record of experience in fundraising in the not-for-profit sector. Required
