As the EHS Manager, you will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Biogen’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Management System. This role is a key member of the PO&T/EHS organization and is responsible for managing site-specific EHS programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a strong culture of safety and sustainability.
You will oversee EHS operations, training, communications, and management system processes while partnering closely with business leaders, global colleagues, and functional teams to support Biogen’s values of safety, integrity, and accountability.
Lead and Manage EHS Programs:
Direct site-level implementation of Biogen’s EHS Management System, ensuring compliance with global standards and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership:
Guide and mentor site EHS administrators and program leads to drive consistency, efficiency, and best practices across the organization.
Physical Safety & Risk Management:
Training & Learning:
Serve as EHS Functional Learning Lead — maintain and enhance global training matrices, needs assessments, and learning tools to ensure robust compliance and competency.
Communications & Engagement:
Lead EHS communications, awareness campaigns, and engagement programs such as Earth Month, Safety Days, and the annual Biogen EHS Awards.
Inspections & Investigations:
Manage EHS inspections, audits, and event investigations to ensure timely corrective actions and continuous improvement. Conduct regular floor walks and field verifications to proactively identify and mitigate hazards.
Systems & Data Management:
Administer and optimize EHS IT tools (e.g., myEHS, Veeva, 3E), ensuring data accuracy, reporting integrity, and ease of use for stakeholders.
Documentation & Governance:
Maintain controlled EHS documentation, SOPs, and management system content in accordance with Biogen standards.
Metrics & Reporting:
Develop dashboards, analyze performance trends, and prepare reports for leadership.
Collaboration:
Partner with Sustainability, Facilities, and Global Security to ensure alignment across environmental and safety initiatives.

Additional Information
Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
