Navani Health Solutions, an Inland Imaging company, is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized medical billing specialist to join our team, working remotely within the Arlington, TX area.

The position is for a Full Time, regular position, working Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm (CST).

Summary: The ideal candidate will have experience in medical billing, claim processing, and a solid understanding of medical insurance. The position will be responsible for handling all aspects of medical billing, from preparing and submitting claims to managing outstanding balances and working with insurance providers to secure reimbursement for services rendered.  

General Description: The Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for both institutional and professional claims management and processing for the hospitals and clinics. Preparing and submitting claims to insurance payers, as well as performing follow up activities on outstanding, unpaid and/or denied claims to resolve open balances and obtain reimbursement for services.

• Accurately prepare and submit medical claims to private insurance companies and government agencies (e.g. Medicare, Medicaid, VA, Tricare) for facility claim payment.
• Process and correct medical claim edits and rejections and insurance follow up activities on outstanding medical claims to secure reimbursement.
• Possess a strong working knowledge of EMR systems such as; Cerner, Meditech, Athena, and Epic, as well as other healthcare software’s and insurance web portals.
• Maintain working knowledge on industry standards and changes in insurance policies and regulations affecting medical claim reimbursement.
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., coding, registration, medical records) to streamline billing processes.
• Demonstrate familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
• Work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Utilizes various client host systems to perform billing fuctions.
• Other special projects and duties as assigned.
