Base Pay Range:

$36.95 - $55.43

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse II is a Full Time, Regular position working Monday-Friday day shift at various locations based on department need

General Description: The Registered Nurse II must be able to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment in meeting continual deadlines; handle multiple priorities with constant interruptions; be highly organized to meet deadlines.  Interacts with physicians, other departments within Inland Imaging, patients and family members and outside contacts.  Excellent written, verbal and personal communication skills; be tactful and diplomatic; and be highly confidential. Makes decisions regarding daily work priorities and other decisions based on company policies and procedures

  • Assesses patient needs by phone and in person for appropriateness of procedure/exam and/or sedation by:
    • Obtaining medical history and prior sedation reaction history
    • Current physical condition and review of physiological systems
    • Makes follow up calls for patients post procedure
  • Provides accurate explanation of procedure/exam, pre-procedure/pre-exam instructions, answers questions & addresses concerns of patient and family          
  • Triages patient calls pre and post procedure and gives appropriate nursing advice or advice obtained by discussion with provider.
  • Adapts assessment, care of treatment and education to age specific requirements
  • Performs parenteral procedures i.e., IV starts and venipuncture for lab specimens if needed
  • Provides guidance as needed to providers during exams and vein procedures.
  • Manages all medication used at Inland Imaging centers:
    • Maintains adequate supply levels
    • Restocks daily and regularly monitors expiration dates on medications
    • Maintains adequate and accurate records of all controlled substances and other medications
    • Maintains security of locked drug boxes
    • Documents and appropriately charges patients for medications and supplies
  • Follows current Washington State Nurse Practice Act for the administration of medications and IV solutions
  • Coordinates tracking of patient data in IDX and Medinformatixs
  • Obtains records and documents in Medinformatix charts for clinic patients.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Ability to consider individual needs in communication with and assessment and treatment of patients of all ages.

  • Follows company departmental standards and personnel policies by using good teamwork and communication skills to help identify concerns and solutions, assisting where needed to ensure a smooth functioning department.
  • Performs other duties as required by displaying team spirit and self-growth, accepting and performing other projects and responsibilities, and requesting other projects and responsibilities.
  • Quarterly quality assurance meeting attendance is required for this position.
  • Attendance is a requirement for this position.
  • Rotates to other shifts and locations as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • RN supervision of medical assistant and non-licensed clinic staff

Qualifications:   

  • Education: 
    • AA Degree required
    • Accredited Nursing Program required
  • Experience:
    • One year of acute care experience as a Registered Nurse required           
    • Minimum of two to three IV starts per day in previous position(s) preferred
    • Post anesthesia patient care experience – preferred
    • Excellent patient assessment skills
    • Experience in conscious sedation / moderate sedation competency
    • Interventional radiology experience – preferred
    • Anatomy and medical terminology
    • Medical office experience. - preferred
    • Understanding of procedures to be read by radiologist preferred.          
    • Follows OSHA and WISHA regulation and WA state DOH regulations.
    • Demonstrate critical thinking skills, warranted for different acuity level of patients.
  • Licensure:   Must maintain current Washington State RN licensure
  • Must not have an active judgment against state nursing license or an active enforcement action again nursing license. (preferred)
  • Certifications: 
    • Current ACLS or previously trained in ACLS – required
    • Current CPR/BLS or previously trained - required
    • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification or Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification, Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization

(PEARS)– helpful        

  • Computer Skills:
    • Experience with computer applications and keyboarding – required
    • Experience with the following computer applications is highly desired: Outlook; Microsoft Office Suite; Workday; Qgenda, Stentor; Medicalis; EPIC; Internet/Intranet
  • Background Check:
    • Must be able to pass a background check required by RCW 43.43.830-840 to work with children under the age of 16, developmentally disabled persons or vulnerable adults
    • In order to comply with provisions set forth in Sections 1128 and 1156 of the Social Security Act, all new employees of Inland Imaging Clinical Associates, LLC will be checked against the LIST OF EXCLUDED INDIVIDUALS provided by the Department of Health & Human Services, Office of the Inspector General (OIG).  Employees must not be included on this list.  
  • Drug Test: Eligible employees must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test.
