Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

As a Quality Technician at Cabinetworks Group, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring our manufacturing processes and products meet the highest standards. Your role involves auditing raw materials, in-process controls, and finished products. Your efforts will drive corrective actions and continuous improvements, aligning perfectly with our Cabinetworks Operating System (COS).

Primary Functional Responsibilities:

  •  Sustain the quality management system in partnership with Operations.
  • Maintain systems to specification and standards (customer and 3rd party) relating to activities and products.
  • Monitor and audit performance according to agreed standards and take necessary action to communicate according to performance levels.
  • Communicate improvement and awareness of quality issues across assigned departments.
  • Implement changes in standards (internally) and performance against standards.
  • Perform against agreed targets within policies and standards.
  • Complete raw material and finished goods audits and testing.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • HS Diploma/GED required, Associates degree in technical field preferred or will consider commensurate experience.
  • Ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask various and conflicting responsibilities in a high-energy production environment.
  • Computer literacy, including working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to use common Quality measurement tools such as vernier caliper, micrometer, dial gauges, thread, ring and plug gauges, profile projector, coatmeter,  roughness tester, check sheet, cause and effect diagram, control chart, histogram, pareto chart, scatter diagram and flow chart.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • ASQ Certification: CQE, CQM, CQA, CQT, CRE preferred.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO-9001, ISO-14001, QS9000).
  • Experience with ANSI A161.1.
  • ISO-9000 Lead Auditor Certificate.
  • Other Quality-related certificates.
  • Six Sigma Orange Belt or comparable.
