Reporting directly to the Company Controller, this highly visible leadership role will manage the company’s internal Accounting department as well as oversee the development and delivery of high quality financial reporting packages for the Executive Leadership Team and external stakeholders. Additionally, the role plays a critical part in shaping and administering accounting policies and maintaining a robust internal control environment:

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for timely and accurate reporting of all financial data applying the appropriate Cabinetworks Group accounting policies and US GAAP
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, revenue and expense recognition and transaction accuracy
  • Lead, support and develop a high performing team of accountants committed to excellence and professional growth
  • Manage the month end and quarter end close processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and consolidation activities
  • Manage reporting timelines, review cycles, and governance processes to support high quality and timely monthly and quarterly required deliverables
  • Create and distribute the required monthly and quarterly financial statement packages (10-Q and 10-K equivalent) to internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain a system of internal controls over financial reporting and accounting transactions as well as a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation of accounting and reporting processes to streamline reporting cycles and reduce risk
  • Support external audit and review procedures
  • Perform technical accounting research as required

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
  • 6-10  years diverse experience in accounting, consolidations and financial reporting, preferably within a public company or accounting firm
  • 3+ years experience at a management level
  • Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC Rules, 10-Q & 10-K reporting and financial disclosure best practices
  • Experience with large ERP and other related systems (Oracle EBS, SAP, Workday, Salesforce, HFM, Oracle EPM, Onestream)
  • Demonstrated successful ability to lead people and get desired results through others
  • Strong communication, collaboration and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines
  • Ability to travel to company sites for in-person meetings, as needed (<10% travel annually)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • CPA required
  • Experience working in a large multinational, automotive, or manufacturing company or Big 4 Accounting Firm
  • Exposure to Private Equity Ownership
  • Experience with business combinations, divestitures and IPO readiness a plus
