WHAT WE CALL THIS POSITION: Financial Planning & Analysis Co-Op 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO: As a Financial Planning & Analysis Co-Op student, you'll have the opportunity to apply foundational financial knowledge and develop problem-solving skills in a supportive environment. You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders to contribute to financial analysis and reporting functions, gaining valuable hands-on experience. This role involves applying financial concepts, analyzing data to extract insights, and supporting variance analysis and reporting tasks. It's an exciting chance to grow, learn, and make a meaningful impact while working closely with experienced professionals. 

  • Apply basic financial concepts and techniques to support financial analysis and reporting. 
  • Analyze financial data to extract insights and develop recommendations under guidance. 
  • Assist in preparing periodic reports for management, sponsors, and lenders with supervision. 
  • Support variance analysis against annual plans and forecasts through data compilation and analysis. 
  • Contribute to the creation of reports, files, and presentations, incorporating guided analysis and insights. 

 

WHAT YOU’VE DONE: 

  • Actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Data Science. 
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate to advanced level, with familiarity in relevant financial software. 
  • Exhibits excellent research, analytical, and communication skills, both verbal and written, with a commitment to accuracy and ethical conduct in handling sensitive information. 
  • Demonstrated eagerness to learn and apply foundational financial principles, with strong attention to detail and adaptability to a dynamic learning environment. 
  • Prior work experience is advantageous, particularly in the software or finance industry, fostering collaboration and stable working relationships internally. 

 

WHAT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION YOU MAY WANT TO KNOW: 

  • Travel/Location: Hybrid work environment from our Boston Office

  • Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the country of the job location. The company does not sponsor visa petitions now or in the future for this role. 

  • School Affiliation: This Co-Op position is a partnership with Northeastern University in Boston, MA and only current students enrolled at Northeastern are eligible to apply.

  • Compensation: The expected salary range for this position is between $22 and $25. The final compensation may vary due to the above listed factors and be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. 

  • Position Time Period: The 6-month term for this role, as it coincides with Northeastern University's Co-Op Program two preferred time periods, either Options 1: Monday, January 5, 2026 - June 19, 2026, or Option 2: Monday, January 12, 2026 - June 26, 2026. Regardless of start, the latest possible end date is Friday, July 3, 2026.
