Job Description:

The Geospatial Engineer will bring expert level experience in processing data via Oracle Spatial using SQL along with a solid knowledgebase of ESRI tools. The ideal candidate will have strong, firsthand technical expertise in a variety of big data technologies and the proven ability to fashion robust scalable solutions to manage large datasets.  

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Provide the customer with maintenance and support of Oracle Spatial and ESRI applications 

  • Work alongside other engineers on the team to sustain and advance the customer/organizations capabilities.  

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise of Geospatial tools and ESRI applications 

  • Geospatial expert with experience in processing data via Oracle Spatial and SQL 

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS  

  • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision 

  • Strong analytic, critical thinking, and research skills 

  • Adept at managing project plans and resources to ensure successful project completion

The likely salary range for this position is $212,500 - $287,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
