Mass General Brigham – Salem Hospital is seeking a full-time Board-Certified or Board Eligible physician in Critical Care  Medicine to join our established Intensivist team. As part of our team, you’ll collaborate with highly skilled Intensivists and critical care nurses to deliver exceptional patient care.

What You’ll Do 

  • Deliver Exceptional Patient Care: As an Intensivist, you’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team in a 20-bed closed ICU covered by Internal Medicine residents. You will be able to perform bronchoscopies, insert central lines and arterial lines.  Intubations are optional.  For applicants trained in pulmonary and critical care medicine you have the option to participate in the inpatient pulmonary consult service which is shared equally among the group members.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside experienced professionals in a supportive and dynamic team setting. Current group includes 16 physicians and 3 NPs, which is a mix of inpatient and outpatient providers.  Four physicians are intensivists only. Trauma surgeons rotate alongside the medical intensivists during select weeks. Strong support from Mass General Hospital/Brigham & Woman’s Hospital for transfers that need tertiary level of care. 
  • Focus on Quality Care: Primarily medical critical care. GlideScope, ultrasound and disposable bronchoscopes are available in the ICU.  Anesthesia is in-house 24/7.
