Job Summary

Operates shuttle bus and/or passenger coach-type vehicles. Safely transports passengers to various destinations while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Adheres to assignments in accordance with scheduled shuttle routes prepared by the Manager, Supervisor, and/or Dispatcher. Reports to the Supervisor of Transportation (or to a designated individual in the Supervisor's absence).


 

Qualifications

Job Description

Creates and follows transport schedules based on passengers' needs.
-Arrives at collection points prior to departure times.
-Confirms that all passengers are present, and records no-shows.
-Ensures adherence to passenger limits, both seated and standing.
-Avoids high-traffic and accident-prone routes, where possible.

  • Candidate MUST have a current Class B License Passenger and Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Candidates MUST fill out a Drivers Record Release Form that allows us to check your driving Record.
  • Drivers MUST be willing to obtain a DOT Medical card through Occupational Health - Once the DOT card is obtained, you will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing through Occ Health. - Physical examinations required by CDL regulations (conducted by Occupational Health Services) - Maintain current training status in the transportation of Hazardous Materials, Uniform Precautions, and Fire and Safety in accordance with Mass General Brigham Policies and procedures.  Reports for drug-free and remains drug-free during tour of duty in accordance with hospital policy.

Experience
Patient Transportation Experience 2+ years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Outstanding knowledge of applicable transport and safety codes.
- Excellent route planning abilities.
- Great improvisational skills.
- Working knowledge of pertinent car maintenance and restoration techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required

4pm-9pm, 2:30pm-7pm, 1pm-7:30pm, 2pm-9pm, 2:15pm-7:15pm, 4:30pm-9:30pm, 2pm-9pm, 5:30pm-9:30pm,2:30-7:30pm, 2:30pm-6:30pm, 3pm-7:30pm)
