Qualifications
We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist for 20-hours at Spaulding MGB in Braintree, MA. Our team holds experienced providers in physiatry, physical therapy and occupational therapy with a patient centered focus on exceptional care.
The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in managing patients with hand and upper extremity diagnoses, using therapeutic techniques to restore physical function and promote patient independence in daily activities for both orthopedic and neurologic conditions. Candidates that demonstrate evidence-based clinical reasoning are asked to apply.
We offer ongoing mentorship and opportunities for clinical growth through internal continuing education, along with substantial personal CE funding for conferences.
Essential Functions
-Conduct assessments of patients' physical, mental, and developmental abilities.
-Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments.
-Implement and monitor treatment plans, adjusting as needed.
-Provide education to patients and their families about therapeutic activities and exercises they can do at home.
-Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and physical therapists, to provide comprehensive care.
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and progress notes.
-Attend staff meetings, continuing education programs, and professional development activities to stay current with new techniques and best practices.
Education
Master's Degree Occupational Therapy required
