FT day Hybrid position: 3 days on site at WDH and 2 days remote. Hours 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday. No weekends or call.


 

Job Summary

This position is administrative however, clinical experience as an RN, LNA, EMT, Medical Assistant, or other clinical experience is strongly desired. Responsible for managing and maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of trauma patients in a healthcare facility. Responsible for supporting the quality improvement and compliance initiatives by providing administrative and operational assistance for trauma program quality standards.


 

Qualifications

Essential Functions:

-Supports the collection of patient and staff feedback to inform quality improvement efforts.

Does this position require Patient Care? No

-Collect and accurately record data related to trauma patients, including demographic information, injury details, treatment interventions, and outcomes.
-Manage the trauma registry, ensuring that it is up to date, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
-Perform regular audits of trauma data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting standards.
-Analyze trauma data to identify trends, patterns, and outcomes.
-Facilitate effective communication between the trauma team, hospital departments, and external stakeholders involved in trauma care.
-Collaborate with state and national trauma registries, as applicable, to ensure accurate reporting and benchmarking.

-Assists in the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality improvement initiatives and compliance programs by supporting the quality team in tracking progress on action plans and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
-Collects, organizes, and maintains data related to quality measures, audits, and performance metrics. Assists in data analysis and interpretation, providing administrative support for quality improvement projects.
-Assists with the preparation of regulatory surveys, audits, and accreditation processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and readily available. Maintains up-to-date records of policies, procedures, and compliance documentation.
-Monitors compliance with regulatory standards and report any discrepancies or areas of concern to the quality management team.
-Serves as a point of contact for quality-related inquiries, facilitating communication between departments and the quality management team.
-Participates in quality improvement teams, providing administrative and logistical support as needed.
-Supports the collection of patient and staff feedback to inform quality improvement efforts.

Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required

Experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting 3-5 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Understanding trauma care principles, including injury classification systems, treatment modalities, surgical procedures, and best practices in trauma management.
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to trauma injuries, procedures, and medical conditions.
- Ability to collect, organize, and manage complex medical data, including patient demographics, injury details, treatment information, and outcomes.
- Skill in assigning accurate codes to injuries and diagnoses is crucial for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to generate reports and present data in a clear and concise manner.
- Understanding of data privacy and security regulations, as well as compliance requirements related to trauma registry management.
