Job Summary
Working under the general supervision of Principal Investigator (Dr. Jesse Poganik), and Lab PI (Dr. Vadim Gladyshev), and in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures, conducts a variety of routine experiments where methodologies are clearly established. Calculates, transcribes, and analyzes data using basic statistics. May perform literature searches under direction of supervisor.
Qualifications
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine tests following established methodologies. Routine tests may include processing research blood samples, performing molecular biology assays, and preparing sequencing libraries. Prepares and maintains tissue cultures. Record data, summarizes, and analyzes results using basic statistics. Prepares laboratory reagents, chemicals, instruments, and equipment. Maintains supplies inventory in accordance with departmental procedures. Maintains records of human research studies. Discusses progress of work regularly with supervisor. All other duties, as assigned.
