Supports the perioperative services department in the management and coordination of supplies and instrumentation. Functions as a liaison between the Operating Room, Sterile Processing and Supply Chain departments to ensure instruments, equipment and supplies are available for surgical procedures and stored in appropriate location. Assists in maintaining cleanliness and upkeep of equipment and supplies in the environment. Assists in smooth daily operations of the department by performing routine,ancillary duties according to standards and policies under the direction of an RN. Assists with patient care, opens sterile supplies, transports equipment, helps with room turnovers, and prepares case supplies.

Job Requirements

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

 

  • One year of experience in a surgical and/or sterile processing setting
  • Knowledge of surgical instruments
  • Computer skills required
  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.

Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10lbs. constantly
