Essential Key Job ResponsibilitiesPerforms various diagnostic cardiology or peripheral vascular exams. 

High quality diagnostic cardiac and/or vascular imaging procedures. Maintains accurate documentation of results and reports to physicians as directed.

Performs various diagnostic cardiology or peripheral vascular exams including but not limited to:• Vascular Imaging◦ Carotid duplex◦ Peripheral arterial duplex◦ Ankle/brachial indices◦ Segmental pressures◦ Peripheral venous duplex◦ Cerebrovascular duplex• Cardiac Imaging◦ Echocardiography◦ Exercise stress echo◦ Chemical stress echo◦ Transesophageal echo• Noninvasive Cardiac Testing◦ Electrocardiograms (ECG)◦ Holter/Event monitor applications◦ Non-imaging stress testingCorroborates clinical history and assesses patient for appropriateness of ordered procedure.Provides patient education, applies patient relations skills and maintains confidentiality of patients and customers in a safe and professional manner.Assumes responsibility for assigned area, reporting equipment malfunctions and procedure difficulties.

Job Requirements

Education:

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiology Technology program or graduate of post secondary allied health profession program

Licenses & Certifications:

• BLS required upon hire. Please refer to policy “Licensed, Certified, and Registered Employees” for acceptable Life Support cards
• ARDMS Board Certification
• ARDMS Board Certified in ABD and OB within six months of hire
• ARDMS Board Certified as RVT within one year of hire

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

• Understands methods and is capable of performing venipuncture’s as required for position
• Demonstrated ability to set and maintain multiple priorities in an environment with shifting priorities, while providing accurate deliverables in a timely fashion
• Must be self-motivated, and able to take ownership of projects/assignments
• Must be a team player with excellent follow-up and customer service skills
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills
• Interpersonal skills in dealing with guests and team members
