Overview

Electric Boat is seeking an experienced security professional to join our Security Technology & Protections Team. In this hands-on role, you will ensure physical security compliance, oversee advanced electronic security systems, and protect our facilities across multiple locations.

• Maintain compliance with Government and company physical security regulations.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend countermeasures.
• Advise on, install, and maintain integrated electronic security systems.
• Identify and resolve security system deficiencies or malfunctions.
• Develop SOPs, Emergency Action Plans, and coordinate with vendors.
• Represent Electric Boat during security audits and inspections.

Qualifications

Required:

 

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associates Degree (or above) -OR- 7+ years of corporate security systems technology experience
• The ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance from the DoD (department of defense)
• Ability to travel frequently to various Electric Boat Facilities

Preferred:

• Familiarity with Physical Security practices
• Experience conducting inspections or audits and presenting the results
• Architectural drawing review experience
• Experience administering security education and awareness training
• OSHA 30 for Shipyard Workers
• Certification in Softwarehouse C-Cure 9000, Milestone X-Protect VMS Platforms, Motorola Avtec SC-220, Barco Smart Walls

Skills

• Project management skills
• Architectural drawing review experience
• Working Knowledge of 009.72 & NISPOM Rule
• OSHA 30 certification
• Experience with access control systems and CCTV equipment
• Ability to travel frequently to various Electric Boat Facilitie
• Familiarity with the Electric Boat shipyard, Quonset Point and Offsite Facilities

• Ability to work in team environment with minimal oversight
• Working Knowledge of Standard Item 009.72 & NISPOM
